We collect all antiretroviral (ARV) medications, including Protease Inhibitors (PIs), Nucleoside Reverse Transcriptase Inhibitors (NRTIs) and Non-Nucleoside Reverse Transcriptase Inhibitors (NNRTIs). We collect Kaletra or Norvir capsules, but not oral solutions.

We also collect other medications that can be used to treat opportunistic infections, such as:

Antifungals/Antimycotics (such as Fluconazole, Mycelex, Sporanox)
Antivirals (such as Acyclovir, Famciclovir, Valacyclovir)
Antibiotics (such as Ciprofloxacin, Amoxicillin, Metronidazole)
TB Drugs (such as Rifampin)
Others: Bactrim, Dapsone, Sulfadiazine, Pyrimethamine, etc.

Before sending us anything aside from antiretrovirals, please check our Non-ARV Formulary (PDF document) to see if we can use it.

***Note:  We do not accept Fuzeon, or any drugs that require injection.  We also no longer collect drugs for oral suspension or those medications requiring cold storage [ie. KaletraTM (old forumulation), Norvir, Aptivirus].   We appreciate your cooperation on this matter.

Please place all pill bottles in a plastic bag and place this bag inside of a cardboard box. All pill bottles should be closed securely. No loose capsules or tablets should be present in the plastic bag or box.

To get FedEx labels that will pay for the cost of shipping to the Starfish Project, fill out our Request for Info form.  Once you receive the labels in the mail, place one on the box of medications.  Fill in your name and choose FedEx Express Saver, which will deliver the box in three days. 

For locations in New York City, please call to arrange a pickup. We do pickups every Friday.  Or, if you are able to drop off medications, bring them to the Center for Special Studies at 119 West 24th Street, in between 6th and 7th Avenue.
